Purpose of job:
The Senior Product Manager (Sr. PM) is responsible for managing product lines, increasing profitability of existing products and developing new products based on market requirements. Leveraging in-depth technical knowledge, the Sr. PM utilizes strong project management, communication and leadership skills to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to establish a comprehensive product roadmap. The Sr. PM has a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle for delivering enterprise-level, data-driven solutions, as well as knowledge of the technical aspects of delivering SaaS products into the market. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Sr. PM partners with Sales, Engineering, Threat Intelligence and other internal stakeholders to leverage their combined expertise, create compelling business plans and drive results.
Responsibilities:
• Manage entire product lifecycle from strategic planning through successful feature launches to customers
• Own the product backlog for assigned products, including leading product planning sessions, feature/enhancement evaluation and prioritization, and population of sprint backlog
• Work with sales, development and marketing to convert market requirements into product solutions that meet the standards of current and prospective customers
• Conduct market research and gather customer/Prospect feedback to define user personas, use cases, and prioritize potential features/enhancements
• Analyze partnership opportunities for products or integrated solutions
• Collaborate with Marketing team on collateral that accurately reflects product features and benefits in a compelling manor
• Communicate product development progress to internal stakeholders
• Contribute to overall company strategic planning
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster teamwork and gather internal requirements for IID products
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in computer science, business or related field; MBA highly desirable
• Minimum five years experience in a senior product management role
• Ability to determine and communicate prioritization for new products and features/fixes by balancing stakeholder input, financial expectations as well as product vision and other key factors
• Strong customer focus, problem solving and analytical thinking skills
• Experience conducting both discovery and validation research across multiple methods, Focus Groups, Win/Loss Analysis, Surveys, Customer Interviews, etc.
• Experience in an Agile-Scrum & SaaS software development environment
• Extensive knowledge of marketing, sales and development processes
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
• Ability to influence and direct product development teams to execute against a roadmap
• Experience across the entire product development lifecycle, from cradle to grave
• Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
• Strong Financial competence, experience managing P&L
• Experience with vendor management, partnerships and third-party software integration
